Edamame and Radish Salad

If you love salty side dishes, you’ll be be vulnerable to this salad. Edamame — which you can find in the frozen or organic section in many supermarkets –have a crisp, snappy texture, but they’re a bit bland. They take to salty and spicy sauces like ducks to water. Pair them with fresh, spicy radishes and you have a salad that really satisfies.

Edamame and Radish Salad

  • 8 oz pack frozen or vacuum-packed ready-to-eat edamame
  • 2 Tbl soy sauce
  • 1 cup sliced fresh radishes
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tbl sesame oil
  • Splash hot sauce, optional


Chop radishes, removing any tops or frazzled stem ends. There's no need to peel them. Combine all remaining ingredients and allow to marinate in the refrigerator for a bit. Flavors will develop over time. Serve cool or room temperature.
